Description

Carrol's Creek Baptist Church was the Tuscaloosa News Feature Church on July 31, 1970.

"Carroll's Creek Baptist Church was organized in 1842 near where Carroll's Creek crosses Highway 69 North. Their building was destroyed by fire on March 29, 1942.

We met in the old LaFoy School building until 1952. We built and moved to our present site in 1952, which is across the highway from the old school site. This church building was wrecked by a tornado in March, 1966. Rebuilding began soon thereafter, and additional space added as was possible since that time.

We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, and the Tuscaloosa County Baptist Association. Our church has a full program of teaching, preaching, training, music ministry, and missionary activities for all age groups.

Our present pastor, Rev. William L. Sudduth, has been with us since November, 1968, and seeks to preach the Bible to all interested persons in our area. We are located nine miles out on Highway 69 in Northport, and we extend a hearty welcome to visitors to our services. Our Sunday School begins at 10:00 a.m Worship Service at 11:00 a.m., Training Union at 5:30 p.m. and Evening Worship at 6:30 p.m. each Sunday."
