Description
Northwood Hills Baptist Church was the Tuscaloosa News Feature Church on August 1, 1969.
"The Northwood Hills Baptist Church was organized January, 1958 on a track of land donated by Mrs. Molly Eddings. In 1962 the church finished the first phase of its building program with a $60,000 education building. Other improvements have been made so that the present value of the church building is now $90,000. The second floor of the educational building is being used for the chapel with a seating capacity of 400. We are looking forward to the building of our permanent auditorium in the near future. We are planning for a full music ministry beginning in October of this year, and are making plans to secure a new organ large enough to be used in the new auditorium. We are located in a convenient and growing section of Northport. We extend an invitation for you to worship with us."
