Photographs of an entry column or gate post from Northington General Hospital, a U.S. Army hospital in Tuscaloosa, that was operational during World War II and a historical marker about the post and the hospital sponsored by the DCH Health Sytem. The column and the marker are currently located at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Memorial Park on McFarland Blvd, Tuscaloosa.
After the Army closed Northington General Hospital at the end of World War II, Druid City Hospital was located in part of the old hospital from 1947 to 1052, until a new permanent facility was built.
