Description
Floyd Mann was Public Safety Director for the State of Alabama and later an assistant to the president of the University of Alabama. He served as public safety director on campus during the turbulent 1970s. During this time, he had campus police dress in suits and ties rather than uniforms to reduce the appearance of an armed force on campus.
