2Lt. Arthur E. England was killed while serving with the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Pacific. According to the book Every Day a Nightmare: American Pursuit Pilots in the Defense of Java, 1941-1942, Lt. England was on the ship the USS Langley that was sunk in February 1943. According to the book Americans WWII Orphans Network In Their Memory Lt. England actually died aboard the USS Edsall after being rescued from the USS Langley. Lt. England's brother Samuel was also a casualty of WWII when the USS Warrenton sank in the Atlantic.
