Joe Powell is a lifelong resident of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and a graduate of its public school system and The University of Alabama (B.A. 1993, J.D. 1997). He served two terms as an elected member of the Tuscaloosa City Council, 1997-2005.
He is married to the former Mikki Ryan of Guntersville, and they have two sons, Jack and Max.
Joe was admitted to the practice of law in 1998. Joe serves as president and sole owner of Main Avenue Title Company, Inc.
Joe is involved in the life of our community in a variety of ways. At Northport Baptist Church he is a Sunday School Teacher, Upward Basketball Coach and will serve as chairman of deacons 2010-2011. After serving as an active Key Club member in high school, Joe joined the Kiwanis Club of Greater Tuscaloosa and is now listed as a Senior Life Member and served as President 1993-1994.
He served as president of the Exchange Club of Tuscaloosa in 2004-2005 and is listed on the roll of its George A. LeMaistre Society. He is affiliated with the local and state Bar Association and graduated from Class II of the Alabama Bar Leadership Forum in 2006.
