Description
This is a side view of Davis Grocery Store which was located on River Hill a few blocks from the draw bridge that connected Tuscaloosa to Northport at 139 Greensboro Avenue. The view looks toward the river. The building was built in 1941 on the site that later became Tuscaloosa Chevrolet. The family lived behind the store with bedrooms upstairs.
Empty soft drink bottles are outside the store for the soft drink delivery man to take back for refilling.
