According to his grandson Mr. W. Terry Martin, Pvt. Hyche was actually the grandson of Berry Ellsberry Hyche who was not in the Revolutionary War but was actually in the American Civil War: " Berry entered service in 1862 as a PVT in 36th Alabama Infantry, C.S.A.  Captured 25 Nov. 1863 at Missionary Ridge, TN, Sent to Rock Island Military Prison and remained their until end of war.
