Description
2Lt. William G. Jones was killed on April 21, 1944, when his plane went down during a bombing run over Northern France. Lt. Jones was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Graham Jones. Lt. Jones was a graduate of Tuscaloosa High School and had attended the University of Alabama prior to his enlistment. For his service Lt. Jones was awarded the Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster and the Purple Heart.
