1Lt. Thomas J. Moore was killed on May 12, 1944, when his plane crashed over Germany. Lt. Moore was a graduate of Tuscaloosa Senior High School and the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Augustus Moore. Lt. Moore was also an active member of the Episcopal Church in Tuscaloosa. For his service Lt. Moore was awarded the Purple Heart and the Air Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters. A photo of Lt.
