Staff Sergeant Ernest F. Davidson was killed in Germany on December 18, 1944. Sergeant Davidson was awarded a purple heart for his service and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. B.M. Davidson of Cordova. An account of Sgt. Davidson's death can be found in the book Battle of the Bulge, Vol. 1: The Losheim Gap/Holding the Line by Hans Wijers on page 71.
