Description

Marlin Moore was a founder and the president of Pritchett-Moore Inc. (real estate and insurance firm) and the director of the National Association of Realtors.

Honored as a member of the Tuscaloosa Chamber of Commerce, he later succeeded Charles Land as chairman.

Before co-founding the real estate and insurance firm Pritchett-Moore, Moore attended the University of Alabama, where he shared housing with Paul “Bear” Bryant. An Arkansas native, Moore was honored as a leader in the insurance field and for his community involvement, which includes helping to bring the YMCA to Tuscaloosa and supporting the county’s Tuberculosis Association, the American Red Cross and the United Way. He died in 1994.

Moore was named as one of the Community Foundations Pillars of West Alabama in 2010.
