Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miller created this float for the Tuscaloosa Centennial Parade in 1916. It is composed of an Indian canoe, bound with reeds and crimson poppies filled with Indian maidens. The float was prize-winning because of its appropriateness to the city of Tuscaloosa, a former Indian village.
