River Hill stretches from the Black Warrior River to University Boulevard (formerly Broad Street). The old lift bridge that connected Northport to Tuscaloosa fed the traffic onto River Hill which is the north end of Greensboro Avenue. This photo was taken from the Mutual Oil Company and shows the Bolton Motel on the left. At the top of the hill is the 10-story bank building and to the right is the Burchfield Hotel.
