When the University began, the direction of students was up to the professors and the disciplinary basis was a "teacher say, pupil do" arrangement.
By 1931, the SGA and the Honor System were in full operation. The officers for that year were (left to right) J.O. Smith, president; Fred Sington, vice president; and Nelson O. Fuller, secretary-treasurer.
