The caption states:
BRANCH LIBRARY IN NORTHPORT - Work was begun last night on a branch library of the Tuscaloosa County Library which is to be located in the Northport Community Center. All work is being done by volunteers, and materials to be used were donated by Holman Lumber Company, Holley and Quarles, Holley Hardware and Faucett Bros. Volunteer workmen shown left to right are: T.D. Edgeworth, W.A. Aaron, Tom Christian, Jake Duren, Wick Patton and J.B. Partain. Not present when the picture was made was Benny Goodman. The project is being achieved through the combined efforts of the Northport Park and Recreation Board and the Tuscaloosa County Library Board.
