Description
Brigadier General Henry Graham leads U.S. Deputy Attorney General toward Foster Auditorium to confront Gov. George C. Wallace, as Wallace attempted to block the registration of Vivian Malone and James Hood for classes at the University of Alabama. Despite Wallace's actions, when Malone and Hood walked past him to register for classes, Alabama became the last state in the union to desegregate its system of public education.
