Description

Lt. Findley B. Durrett was killed on October 16, 1918, while serving with the United States Army in France. Lt. Durrett was the son of Mrs. Sallie Durrett of Northport. For three years Lt. Durrett attended the University of Alabama where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Some of Lt. Durrett's time in Sigma Chi is recounted in Volume 34 of the Sigma Chi Quarterly .

Lt. Durrett would later have the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2625 named for him according to this article from the March 18, 1951 Tuscaloosa News.
