"Library Week" Report Made at Board Meeting

New Books Listed; Club Gifts Still Coming In

At the monthly meeting of the County Library Board today, Miss Lucy Pou librarian gave a report on results of "Library Week" in which she announced the latest club donations and gave a second list of new books being ordered with money contributions.

The former list includes: Thursday Study Club, 10 books, University Women's Club 10; and the Worthwhile Club, 14.  New books will include: "Come and Get It" by Ferber; "Lucy Gayheart" by Cather; "Code of the West" by Gray.  A list of ten new boys' books will also be ordered.

Members of the Library Board present were Mrs. George Jacob Davis, chairman, Mrs. Geroge Alston and Mrs. Oscar Dahlene.  The other members are Mrs. Washington Moody, Mrs. Edgar Clarkson, Mrs. Jack Montgomery and Mrs. Vird Palmer.

The county library is made possible through payment of a librarian's salary by the County Board of Revenue and the City of Tuscaloosa.  Rooms, heat and lights are also provided by the county.
