Description
Jake Duren coached the Northport Babes for three seasons beginning in 1949, teaching the fundaments of the game, providing uniforms and transportation to games. He tagged each play with a special nickname such as Carrot Top, Hoss, Radio, Taxi Cab, Mop, Furpole and Little Pot.
