LCpl William E. Maxwell was killed on December 27, 1968, while serving with Headquarters and Supply Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division in Quang Nam Province. Cpl Maxwell was a graduate of Druid High School. LCpl Maxwell was the husband of Mrs. Josie Maxwell and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Maxwell.
