Spec4 Thomas Carpenter Jr. was killed on January 10, 1968, while serving with the 615th Transport Detachment, 57th Air Helicopter Company, 52ns Aviation Battalion, 1st Aviation Brigade. Spec4. Carpenter was a graduate of Druid High School and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Carpenter Sr. of Tuscaloosa.
