According to Ancestry.com. WWI, WWII, and Korean War Casualty Listings, Pvt. John W. Wallace was killed on October 17, 1952, while serving with the 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. The 1940 Federal Census (Ancestry.com. 1940 United States Federal Census) says that Pvt. Wallace was the son of Mrs. Larcena Wallace of Tuscaloosa.
