Description
Lt. William S. Mudd was killed on April 9, 1942, when his plane crashed during a training accident near Montgomery, Alabama. Lt. Mudd attended the University of Alabama's Law School prior to entering service. Lt. Mudd was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William S. Mudd. Mr Mudd was the President of the Tuscaloosa News. An obituary for Lt. Mudd can be found in the September 19, 1942, Birmingham News.
