Cpl. William T. Wedgeworth was killed on June 17, 1968 while serving with the Company C, 503 Infantry Division, 4th Battalion. Cpl. Wedgeworth was a graduate of Northside High School who was living in Ohio at the time of his enlistment. Cpl. Wedgeworth was the son of Mrs. Rilla Wedgeworth of Northport . Cpl. Wedgeworth was also the husband of Mrs. Gloria Wedgeworth and the father of Michele Wedgeworth of Cleveland, Ohio. Among his many awards Cpl. 1Lt. Claude H. Cargile died on May 25, 1970, from wounds received while serving with Company A, 123rd Aviation Battalion, 16th Aviation Group, Americal Division as a helicopter pilot. Lt. Cargile attended both Marion Institute and Greensboro High School before graduating from Banks High School in Birmingham. Lt.
