Captain George R. Cody

Capt. George R. Cody was killed on December 1, 1950, while serving with the 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Division. Capt. Cody was a graduate of Tuscaloosa High School and the University of Alabama. Captain Cody was a World War II veteran where he earned a Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Capt. Cody was the husband of Mrs. Josephine Cody and the son of Mrs. Mae Cody. <br /><br />For his service in Korea, Captain Cody was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross.
