Description
The "Stand in the Schoolhouse Door" by Alabama Governor George C. Wallace. The Governor stands in the door of Foster Auditorium in an attempt to block integration of the University of Alabama by Vivian Malone and James Hood. Despite his actions, when Malone and Hood walked past him to register for classes, Alabama became the last state in the union to desegregate its system of public education.
