Central Church of Christ was the Tuscaloosa News Feature Church on August 21, 1970.
"Beginning in 1937, the Central Church of Christ met at 602 26th Avenue for thirty years. The new building at Hargrove Road and Wood Manor was completed in August of 1967. The church is led by four elders and served by nine deacons. The congregation contributes to four mission points, the television program "Herald of Truth," and a home for children. The Central Church extends an invitation to everyone to meet with them for bible study and worship. Sunday: Bible classes at 9 A.M. and worship at 9:50 A.M. and 7 P.M. Wednesday Bible Study."
