This photo is an aerial view of the cities of Tuscaloosa and Northport, Alabama, taken around 1946.

The photo shows the Black Warrior River. On the south side of the river, the Corps of Engineers building and property are shown clearly. On the north side, three antennas mark the location of radio station W-ACT. The radio station had a colorful personality, Clyde Price, who was known as the "Syrup Sopper."
