Jack Kubiszyn was a member of the Tuscaloosa City Council in the 1990's and once ran for mayor.
Jack was born in Buffalo, N.Y., in December, 1936, and attended the University of Alabama from 1957-58.
He was signed by the Cleveland Indians in 1958 and played 25 games in each of 1961-62 for the Indians. He played mostly shortstop and third base, with a couple of games at second base.
Lucy Stallworth Kubiszyn wrote a book called When a Star Fell on Alabama: The Jack Kubiszyn Story. It says Jack was part of the "Rocket Eight" basketball team at Alabama.
