Lindsey was killed on January 31, 1944, while serving with the 933rd Field Artillery Battalion in Italy. Pfc. Lindsey was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lindsey of Gordo. For his service Pfc. Lindsey was awarded the Purple Heart.
