Description
Capt. Claude D. Wallace was killed on December 19, 1944, while serving with the 501st Parachute Infantry, 101st Airborne near Bastogne. Capt. Wallace was a graduate of the University of Alabama and was a veteran of the Normandy Invasion. Capt. Wallace was the husband of Rebecca Ballow Wallace of Linden and the son of Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Wallace. For his service Capt. Wallace was awarded the Bronze Star with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Purple Heart.
