Description
Aviation Cadet Andrew C. Smith was killed on May 15, 1942, when his plane crashed in a training accident near Mason, Texas. Cadet Smith was a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School and attended the University of Alabama prior to his military service. Cadet Smith was the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Albert Smith of Fosters. A second obituary can be found in the May 20, 1942 edition of the Birmingham News.
